Les Regards d’Avize comes from a .43 hectare parcel planted in 1963, with a small portion of pre-phylloxera vines included. The base wine for 2014 was aged seven years under natural cork, then hand riddled and disgorged. No dosage is added, and the wine was unfiltered. This is a serious, complex wine with distinct red fruit aromas and flavors (unusual for Blanc de Blancs) but also the cutting minerality and structure and a delightfully long finish.
