The 2013 Extra Brut Villers-Marmery Les Chouettes Fins Lieux #7 is a gorgeous wine. It is also wild, exotic and even a bit chaotic, but that just adds to its appeal. Apricot, lemon confit, baked apple tart and tropical flowers abound. I can't say all the elements are perfectly put together, because they aren't, and yet that adds to the wine's considerable appeal. Readers will have to be a bit adventurous. There is certainly much to like. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: February, 2021. - VM
