“The 2021 Trilogie from Laurent Lignier is really beautiful this year. The bouquet has a sense of sappiness to its fruit component that is quite rate in this vintage, jumping from the glass in a very pure blend of red plums, cherries, raw cocoa, pigeon, a complex base of soil, woodsmoke, a touch of oak and a floral top note redolent of peonies. On the palate the wine is precise, full-bodied and revels in a core of pure fruit, with vibrant acids, excellent focus and grip, fine-grained tannins and a long, complex and seamless finish. Really outstanding for a villages level bottling. 2032-2070.”
